I take it he is fairly popular and Ive seen a few things about him posted here. I understand he is an entertainer but he actually seems to be very good at baseball. Is he an ex-minor leaguer or something? Whats his story?
Hes more than a man, but less than a God. Like Hercules or something.
Youre telling me you had a ball that was signed by DOMINGO AYALA, and you brought it out here and actually played with it?
Wait you mean those are the same guy?!
Domingo Ayala was born and raised in Puerto Plata, DR sometime between 1978 and 1988 (records have not been verified). At a young age, with the influence of his cousin and longtime baseball coach, Vladimir Ayala, Domingo began to excel at the game of baseball. In the Dominican Republic, Domingo has been a 7-time Infielder of the Year and 6-time Outfielder of the Year award winner (two years overlapping when he played both SS and LF in order to hit twice in the lineup).
Dont forget he was the 2007 La Cantina Hard Body award winner.
Dont forget he is a 3 time first round pick
Heres a list of achievements (about a year old, havent updated them since):
6-times saves leader3 career No-Touchers2-time 30/30 club member (in the same season)Career 0.890 Batting Cage Average2011 International Intentional Walk LeaderA Great Catcher3 Time First Rounder5 Time batting champion4 time homerun champion5 time stolen base leader6 time outfielder of the year7 time infielder of the year (two years overlapping when he played both SS and LF in order to hit twice in the lineup)
Its a shame the majors wont let him play due to his use of performance reducing drugs. Hes just trying to keep the game fair.
No one really knows. Ive heard the Ryan Spilborghs brother rumor too but Ive also heard it isnt true.
Whoever it is, he is very careful to hide his identity. Even is registered to a site that registers domains anonymously.
This thread is arousing more questions than it is answers. It sounds like hes all of man, myth, and legend.
Dont know Domingo Ayala? Semi-pro..
Ive seen a couple people say its Ryan Spilborghs younger brother. I have a friend that says a guy he played ball with in an independent league played with the guy at Fullerton or UCLA, I cant remember, and since its coming from a friend of a friend, I have little faith in how true it is.
If you really want to know, he played ball at Central Michigan
Did he really? Man, I had no idea he went to college and played ball so close to where I grew up in Grand Rapids. I also had no idea they had such history (CollmenterandAyala both?)
Thats why they did a video together 🙂
Hes the greatest player that youll ever see outside of the MLB. Hes a legend.
Erry tyne someone asks, Domingo throws a perfect game and hits a grand slam.
He is the pitcher that Clayton Kershaw most enjoys catching.
He is a big tyne prospekt. He once graced us with anAMA.
What swirling vortex of awesome did you just send me through?
Oh my god. I hope youre happy! My sides are killing me and my boss just came by to ask if I was ok.
I was going to comment that you missed the [OC] tag but then I realized this was actually a question
He came to one of our practices when I was playing ball at OU. One of our outfielders played juco ball with him in California. Super normal guy and it was just like the videos! Dude was dropping bombs.
I know his name but Ive never heard of him being spilborghs brother or anything.
I saw a Mariners logo and the last name Ayala and got post traumatic flashbacks.
Had a teammate that said he went to school with him at Central Michigan. Showed me Facebook pictures of the two together at school and looked very similar to Domingo. Who knows really. Kudos to him for keeping his name unknown.
ive met him out of character a few times. wont say his name. hes just a normal dude who has made a great, funny, character. He knows his baseball as you can tell from the videos.
He has a YouTube channel with some super funny baseball videos I recommend em
My father said he saw him years ago playing in a tenth-rate commercial league in a textile town in Carolina, wearing shoes and an assumed name.

Okay so I know I am super late on this but Domingo Ayala is former Central Michigan/Cypress College/UNLV playerBryan Resnick. He played professionallyfor 25 games in the independent Frontier Leagues River City Rascals in 2009. You can see Resnicks trademark filing for Domingo Ayalahere.
Unless Im mistaken I dont think hes Ryan Spillborghs brother, but clearly they are friends. In the Winter Meetings video you can see Ayala is wearing a pass with Spillborghs name on it.
